Cornford Lane Closure Consultation

A Public Exhibition is due to be held at Pepenbury Cafe, Cornford Lane on Saturday 1st March 10-4pm. From Monday 3rd March the consultation period goes live and is open for 3 weeks.

A Public Meeting will be held at Tunbridge Wels Borough Council offices in the Council Chamber on Tuesday 11th March 6-8pm.

The Joint Transportation Board Meeting where the outcomes will be reported takes place on 28th April.

The Kent and Sussex Courier is launching its A21 For 2016 campaign calling for the much-needed dualling project.

Prime Minister David Cameron has revealed that there is funding available for road schemes in the UK sparking fresh hope for the long-awaited widening project.

Plans to dual the busy stretch of road between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells were shelved last year by the Coalition as part of Goverment budget cuts.

The Prime Minister has now revealed that there is money for road schemes which could go to those communities and councils who shout the loudest. In light of this, The Kent and Sussex Courier is launching its A21 For 2016 campaign
