Introducing our WI

The first meeting of the Women’s Institute in Pembury was in March 1920; and a second institute was formed in 1964 to meet in the evening.  The pages on this site are to introduce you to our Institute which meets in the afternoon.

As well as monthly meetings, there is also the opportunity to join the many events and social activities organised by the Kent, West-Kent Federation.

Members can join activities and workshops organised by the Federation Sub-committees These activities are advertised in the KWK News,  published monthly

Our members also like to support local activities in Pembury and adjoining villages. There are many other activities in which members can participate.
