The Society members agreed, at the recent Spring Meeting, to a proposal for a memorial bench to be purchased from Society funds in memory of Ken Watts, former Chairman who died at the end of March. The Parish Council have now agreed that this should be placed on the village green facing the ornamental village sign, which was Ken’s brainchild.
Contributions are invited towards the cost of the wooden bench and these can be sent to the Treasurer, Hugh Boorman, 52 Henwood Green Road, Pembury TN2 4LH. Cheques should be made out to “The Pembury Society”
